Enter any letters — every valid English word, instantly
Give it a jumble of letters and it finds the real words hiding in them, including shorter words made from part of the set. Useful when you are stuck on a puzzle, holding a rack of awkward tiles, or trying to prove a word exists.
Not by trying every arrangement — seven letters already give 5,040 orderings and ten give over three million. The efficient way is to sort the letters of your input alphabetically, do the same for every word in a dictionary, and match on that signature. All anagrams of a word share one signature, so the search becomes a lookup rather than a brute-force crawl. That is why results come back instantly.
If a word you are sure about does not appear, it is almost always a dictionary boundary rather than a bug.
The most useful habit is to check after you are properly stuck, then look at what you missed. Short words are where most points get left behind in tile games, and seeing the two and three letter options you did not spot trains the pattern recognition faster than staring at the rack for another ten minutes.
Everything runs in your browser. The letters you enter are not stored or sent anywhere.
